About

I'm a Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Rochester during 2009-10 while on sabbatical from California Polytechnic State University, where I am a tenured Associate Professor in the Philosophy Department.

I work primarily in epistemology, especially on the nature of epistemic justification, evidentialism, and the epistemology of religious belief.  I also work in the metaphysics of free will and moral responsibility.

At the University of Rochester, I teach Ethics, Moral Problems, and Reason and Argument.  At Cal Poly, I teach Epistemology, Metaphysics, Philosophical Classics, Aesthetics, Introduction to Philosophy, and Epistemology of Religious Belief.

Some links to my essays are beginning to appear on my University of Rochester website.
